Valentino is a heavily guarded young man with a troubled past that wants nothing more than to find someplace to call home and people to call family, and perhaps even find love- but life seems to have other plans for him.
Valentino is a foundling, discovered by a passer-by in his deceased mother's arms. He was raised in the revolving door that was his life in foster care, and endured much as a result. He gained a reputation as an "Angel of Death" due to the fact that someone seemed to always die in whatever house he was placed in. Subsequently, not many foster families wanted him around, and the ones that did were not... savory. He endured abuse of all kinds in these houses until he ran away and began to live on the street with another teenager named Hook. He got caught up in drugs during that time and then had to deal with withdrawl when Hook helped him overcome addiction. He dyed his hair as a symbol of his "victory."
Hook and Knives travelled together for five years until their choices in life became too different and they split, though not amicably. Valentino travelled south until he reached Miami, where he was able to settle down and begin the create a life for himself thanks to the people he was surounded by. Predictably, this did not last. Valentino suffered a gruesome death at the hands of some unsavory characters while trying to assist a young girl.
Now Valentino is a part of Dead End, a game where he must fight with his partner's help to come back to life. His partner, Drake, doesn't make things easy though, with their personalities and philisophy about the game being directly opposed to each other. Drake's cold manipulation serves as a great foil to Valentino's mushy tenderness that he tries to hide, and maybe between the two of them, they can get out of this alive.

Due to Valentino's intense trauma at an early age, he developed Dissociative Identity Disorder as his brain tried to cope with what happened around him. Years down the road, he discovered that's what he had, and he made first contact with one of his alters: Lucien.
Lucien is a true-blue Malibu beach bum, loving nothing more than the surf and sand. It's a good thing for him that Valentino ended up so close to the beach, and he loves the change of scenery. Learning how to surf again in a new body is difficult, but Lucien enjoys the challenge. If Lucien is out and about, you can bet you'll find him either at the beach or pestering someone to give him a ride there.
As a person, Lucien is quite laid-back and relaxed. He takes things slow and easy, and is content to roll with the punches as they come. He loves nothing more than to hang out with his (and Valentino's) friends and just lounge with them. Lucien is also quite the flirt, not afraid to hit on Valentino's boyfriends or fluster the people he's interested in. He seems to delight in it, really, but he's careful never to take things too far.
He seems to have a complicated relationship with Cecilio, though both seem unwilling to talk about it...

Tino is a seperate and distinct child alter that just happens to be Valentino. He seems to hold most memories of the physical abuse, and in the inner world he's the only one that has scars. Tino went dormant after Valentino ran away from the foster system, and only recently re-emerged. He is most often about seven years old, and he greatly enjoys coloring and playing with his "big brother" Parker.
Tino is an incredibly sweet and delicate child, though his memories of abuse have left him timid and fearful. If encouraged, he'll stutter out little sentences and follow people around like a little lost puppy. He's taken to calling Rochelle, Parker and Drake's mother, Mama and he loves her dearly. He likes to "help" her cook dinner or do chores.

Alicia, despite her grumpy demeanor, is probably the most level-headed out of everyone in the system. She's also the most uncomfortable fronting due to their shared body, so she isn't often seen outside of others talking about her. She's very much the "older sister" of the system and enjoys nothing more than dragging all of her idiots. She's been with Valentino since he was 16, and is the oldest in terms of existing age beyond Valentino himself.
She's very much into the scene movement after she found her idol, a local musician and one of Valentino's friends named Ray, who she absolutely adores. Her favorite activity is making shitty band t-shirts and listening to his music, though she enjoys art a great deal as well. Her prized posession is the drawing tablet gifted to her by Valentino on her birthday.
